Program/Project Manager

Title: Program/Project Manager (contingent 034)

Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD

Security Clearance: Secret clearance is required

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Managing and executing the daily operation of assigned program(s) and serving as the primary customer point of contact.
• Planning program schedules and budgets with appropriate functional managers to achieve profit margins.
• Delivering programmatic oversight and operational systems support to CPE and PEO IEW&S in support of high priority exercises and demonstrations.
• Communicating complex technologies and program challenges to senior leadership and conducting forums with senior leaders.
• Coordinating cross-program and cross-domain integration for CPE IEW&S.
• Managing integration forums, working groups, and technical/battle rhythm events.
• Providing subject matter expertise in coordination, planning, and execution of CPE IEW&S equipment and personnel involvement in high priority military exercises and demonstrations.
• Acting as liaison for the CPE and associated PMs in meetings and planning events associated with these exercises.
• Attending exercise planning meetings and communicating CPE IEW&S priorities to stakeholders.
• Coordinating with CPE and PM Leadership on planning and execution of these events and providing feedback on technical/operational issues.
• Preparing, reviewing, and updating program documentation supporting the acquisition process.
• Reporting program status to senior management on a regular basis.
• Representing the company to customers and providing leadership to ensure team objectives are achieved.
• Maintaining and promoting exceptional customer relationships.
• Coordinating work tasks with customer representatives.
• Being responsible and accountable for the Program's cost, schedule, and performance.
• Directing and monitoring results for meeting customer requirements, specifications, quality standards.
• Ensuring reporting and data deliverables are prepared and submitted.
• Monitoring and preparing budget expenditures and justifications with financial controls to adhere to program budgets.
• Possessing a comprehensive background in operations management, program analysis, logistics, strategic planning, process improvement, resource management, team building, problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership.
• Keeping customer and internal leadership informed on status and progress of assigned tasks.
• Being knowledgeable of the program acquisition life cycle process.
• Having a clear understanding of proposals processes and guidelines.
• Experiencing interfacing directly with government designated representatives and supervising various task order activities.
• Complying with all ISO Standards and requirements.
• Adhering to company's AS9100 and QMS policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Preferred:

• Program Management Professional (PMP) Training/Certification is a plus.
• Prior military service is preferred, not required.

Skills:

• Ability to work independently and be detail oriented and organized.
• Excellent customer service experience and communication skills.
• Strong writing and computer skills are essential.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and other required software.
• Ability to interface professionally with all levels, both internally and externally.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under short deadlines and multi-task.
• Must understand and comply with all company policies and procedures and maintain the required level of security clearance.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of fourteen (14) years' experience managing government programs is required of which one (1) year must be supervisory.
• Substitution: A minimum of 10 years' experience managing government programs, of which one (1) year must be supervisory, is acceptable for candidates possessing a PMP certification.
• A secret security clearance is required.

Required Education:

Bachelors or better.

Required Experience:

Responsible and accountable for the Program's cost, schedule, and performance- both financial and CPARs. Must have a solid understanding of and knowledge of U.S. Federal Government contracting and procurement process. Direct, relevant experience managing cost, schedule, and performance on similar US Government contracts. DoD experience preferred.
