RESPIRATORY THERAPIST (RT/RRT) | PER DIEM OPPORTUNITY JOB OVERVIEW

Seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist (RT/RRT) for a per diem opportunity in an acute care setting. The Respiratory Therapist will assess, treat, and monitor patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions while collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.

• Hours: 6:30 AM 7:00 PM
• Meal Break: 30 Minutes
• 12.5-Hour Shift

PAY RATE

• $40.32 - $47.04 per hour

REQUIREMENTS

• Active Respiratory Therapist License in good standing
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience in acute care, critical care, emergency care, or respiratory therapy preferred
• Strong critical-thinking and patient assessment skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform respiratory assessments and monitor patient conditions
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and respiratory medications
• Manage and monitor patients receiving ventilator support
• Assist with airway management and emergency respiratory interventions
• Evaluate patient response to treatment and adjust care plans accordingly
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care and disease management
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Follow established respiratory care protocols and safety standards
