Hotel Front Desk Manager Varied Shifts

FUNCTION:

Responsible for daily management of Front Office and acts as liaison between Hotel Department and other Nugget Departments. Supervision of assigned Front Desk personnel.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assist the Hotel Manager in developing and achieving operating budgets.
2. Receives, responds, and resolves guest complaints in a timely manner.
3. Responsible for daily management of Front Office.
4. Process incoming mail, refunds and commissions. Responsible for related files.
5. Stock supplies as needed.
6. Assist Accounting and Sales with guest inquiries regarding hotel billings.
7. Clear house accounts and city ledge accounts at the end of each month.
8. Assist Hotel Manager and Reservations Manager with accounting research and other related matters.
9. Assist in the management of Front Desk expenses, inventories, and operations.
10. Responsible for the placement, supervision, training and coaching of staff to ensure effective performance of duties.
11. Approve and deliver annual performance and/or employee observations reviews and recommend rate increases as appropriate.
12. Monitor overages, review accounts payable to ensure prompt and accurate payment of group balances.
13. Work and communicate effectively with all levels of Nugget guests and employees.
14. Provide management coverage for other managers as needed.
15. Attend meetings and Hotel / Casino events as required.
16. Regular predictable attendance is required.
17. Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state and federal regulations.
18. Communicate effectively with all levels of the Nugget team and guests.
19. Perform work in a safe manner and maintain a safe environment for team member and guests.
20. Immediately report unsafe conditions and team member or guest incidents to a member of the management team or Security.
21. Maintain a positive and professional image when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourage others to do the same.
22. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Hotel Manager

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 3 years prior Front Desk management background required.


LANGUAGE:

Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language.


EXPERIENCE:

Hotel Management experience preferred.


SPECIAL SKILLS:

Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills, along with hotel management skills


preferred.


PHSYICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time

Ability to lift, move, push, pull items up to 40 lbs.

Fine finger manipulation.


Work environment may include smoke and variable temperature, lighting, and noise levels.

Work may be performed indoors and outdoors during special events.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

Valid Nevada Driver's license, and Alcohol Awareness Certification required.
