Registered Nurse - CSSU Unit

Location: Portsmouth, New Hampshire

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 19:00 - 07:00

Job Description: Join our dynamic CSSU unit as a Registered Nurse, where you will provide care in a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level 2 Trauma Center. This specialized unit supports cardiovascular and vascular surgery with a focus on telemetry and critical care.

Responsibilities:

Monitor patients using GE monitors and central monitoring systems.
Administer and titrate vasoactive medications, including levophed, phenylephrine, dopamine, and dobutamine.
Perform procedures such as temporary pacing, chest tube removal, and arterial line removal.
Provide pre-operative preparation for cardiovascular surgeries.
Collaborate with a mobility team and support patient needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

Current RN licensure in the state.
ACLS and BLS certification required.
Strong telemetry skills with experience in vasoactive medication titration.
Preferred experience with chest tubes and arterial lines.
