Job Description

As a TOOLS AND PARTS ATTENDANT SUPVERSIOR, WS-6904-6, you will plan use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials. Establish deadlines, priorities, and work sequences, and plans work. Coordinate work with supporting or related work functions controlled by other supervisors. Participate with the supervisor in the planning of work schedules, budget requests, staffing needs, estimates, and recommendations as to scheduling projected work. Investigate work related problems such as excessive costs or low productivity and determines causes. Implement corrective actions within their authority to resolve work problems. Determine training needs of subordinates and arrange for accomplishment. Set performance standards, and make formal appraisals of subordinate work performance. Initiate recommendations for promotion or reassignment of subordinates. Perform the non-supervisory work of the function, as needed. Implement regulatory safety requirements and ensure that subordinates follow pertinent safety precautions. Ensure employee compliance with standing operating procedures. Implement and comply with facility, agency, state, and federal regulatory Occupational Safety and Health, and environmental requirements. Ensure subordinates are trained, qualified, and equipped with proper personnel protective equipment, environmental mediation equipment, and materials. Prepare for and participate in various types of readiness evaluations, inspections, mobilization and command support exercises. Perform other duties as assigned.
