Engine Development Group
The Development group is responsible for manual testing, calibration work, and hardware development, supporting the launch of new engine properties. This is the least automated and most technically demanding group.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Support development of calibrations and/or hardware changes
- Tear down engines and reassemble using different hardware configurations
- Perform hands-on mechanical work using hand tools
- Work directly with dynos (dyno or PUMA experience required)
- Support launch of new engine properties
- Stainless steel and aluminum fabrication work
- Engine tuning
- ~10% automated | Majority of work is manual
- Requires troubleshooting, problem-solving, and strong engine fundamentals
- Breakdown of daily roles:
- 75% manually manipulating calibrations and running data
- 15% mechanical work
- 10% special assignments
Compensation: $30/hour
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
