Case Manager/ Paralegal - Personal Injury

Personal Injury Case Manager (Paralegal)Speaks Law Firm is seeking an experienced high volume Personal Injury Case Manager (Paralegal) to join our Wilmington team. Candidates must have at least two (2) years of experience working with a high volume of personal injury claims in NC. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Maintain effective communication with attorneys, clients, insurance adjusters, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projectsDrafting of legal documents including routine pleadings and motions, affidavits, and interrogatories; files motions and pleadings according to judicial proceduresInterview clients and witnesses and prepare summaries of their statementsPrepare, organize, store, and retrieve case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, exhibits, and other itemsMonitor & manage client's medical treatmentSend requests for information including medical records & billingMaintain/organize client filesPreparation and filing of general correspondence, e-mails, demand packages and other exhibits into Case Management SoftwareUnderstand subrogation liens & disputing unrelated chargesComplete balance sheets accurately reflecting Rule 414 payments/adjustmentsFamiliarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and other health insurance portalsQualifications Required:High school diploma or equivalentTwo (2) plus years of experience working with NC personal injury claimsPassion for advocating for our clients and maintaining a positive attitudeStrong organizational skills and attention to detailIntermediate computer skillsAbility to effectively communicate and collaborate with clients and colleaguesPreferred:Associate's degree or higherParalegal certificate a plusExperience with SmartAdvocate software a plusBilingual English and Spanish a plusCompensation Competitive salary range depending on experience and qualifications.
