Cafeteria Aide
HOURS: NOTES: 175 Day contract / Summer, Nights and Weekends Off!/$11.45-$13.77
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Has a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate
- Has the ability to read and follow written directions
- Has the ability to stand and walk continuously for a period of at least two hours
- Has demonstrated the ability or potential to communicate and work effectively with students and staff
REPORTS TO: Principal
JOB GOAL: Supervise the cafeteria during lunchtime
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be familiar with and follow written policies, procedures and directions from supervisor related to job responsibilities
- Assist students in finding seats
- Monitor the conduct and manners of students
- Assist students in opening milk cartons, thermos, etc.
- Give permission to students needing to be excused to go to restroom
- Remind children, when necessary, to leave eating area clean and orderly
- See that tables and chairs are clean and ready for the next class
- Give students a warning for first minor inappropriate behavior
- Notify the principal when extreme misconduct occurs
- Report to the principal any concerns for improving the dining pleasure of all students
- Assist students in lining up when lunch period is over
- Perform other duties consistent with the position assigned as may be requested by the supervisor
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Hourly (Grade 01) 2 per day 10 per week 175 days 9 months Board approved 6-9-94
