Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
• Complete 60-minute evaluations and treatment sessions, utilizing clinical reasoning to progress patients toward discharge within an established length of stay
• Maintain accurate, timely medical record documentation including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
• Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approvals
• Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs by providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
• Adhere to discipline-specific state practice acts, regulatory requirements, and professional codes of conduct while actively pursuing continuing education and professional development

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in good standing in the state of Florida
• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy program (new graduates welcome)
• Ability to complete all state-mandated continuing education requirements
• Commitment to patient and employee safety standards, including safe patient handling and infection control practices

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting
• Familiarity with functional quality indicator assessments and outcomes-based documentation
• Experience participating in or supervising student clinical programs
