OFFICE ASSISTANT-MATH (Work Study Students Only)

Office Assistant

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics is looking for a hardworking and motivated student to work as an office assistant for the Fall 2026 term. This role also serves the Women's and Gender Studies Program.

As the front point person to our office, you will greet guests, answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, process printing and copy requests for faculty and staff, create flyers and social media posts, sort mail, and other office duties.

Required qualifications include: current federal work-study student, current undergraduate degree seeking student, dependable, excellent communication skills, strong technology skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Desired qualifications include: experience working in an academic setting, experience working with confidential material, experience in event planning, and experience with social media.

Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes.

Looking for students to work 10-15 hours per week. Must be able to work the following shifts: Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and Wednesday and Thursday 12:00pm-5:00pm.
