About the Position

Job Title

Multimodality Technologist – CT / X-Ray

Location

Charleston, SC | Acute Care (Teaching Hospital, Level 1 Trauma)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating 3x12-Hour Shifts (Days & Nights) | 7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM | Rotation may alternate weekly or bi-weekly | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform quality diagnostic imaging in both X-ray and CT modalities, producing images for interpretation by licensed practitioners
• Effectively explain imaging procedures to patients and ensure competency in all procedures performed
• Float to like units within scope as needed to meet facility staffing needs
• Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June–November), as required by facility policy
• Maintain accurate documentation and charting using Epic and PACS systems

Required Qualifications

• ARRT registration in both Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT) required
• SCRQSA certification required
• BLS required
• ACLS required (pending ACLS accepted if obtained within 2–3 weeks of hire)
• Minimum 2 years of experience preferred; first-time travelers considered on a case-by-case basis
• Radiation badge must be provided by the staffing agency — the facility does not supply radiation badges to contract staff
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Previous permanent or PRN staff at this facility must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in Emergency, Trauma, and Pediatric imaging settings
• Proficiency with orthopedic exams in both X-ray and CT modalities
• Familiarity with Siemens imaging equipment
• Experience with Epic and PACS platforms
