Job Title: Oligonucleotide Lab Technician

Location: Branchburg, NJ 08876
Employment Type: W2 Contract – 12 Months with Possibility for Extensions
Pay Rate: $25.00–$28.69/hour – Based on experience (Paid Weekly)
Work Model: 100% Onsite
Shift: Monday–Friday, 8 Hours per Day (40 Hours per Week)

Role Overview

BEPC is seeking an experienced Oligonucleotide Lab Technician to support our client's oligonucleotide purification and manufacturing operations in Branchburg, NJ.

This position focuses on oligonucleotide purification, downstream processing, characterization, and final formulation, using laboratory instruments such as High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and UV-Vis spectroscopy.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of laboratory experience, a science-related educational background, and strong attention to detail in a regulated laboratory or manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document oligonucleotide purification, downstream processing, characterization, and final formulation activities.
• Operate laboratory instruments, including HPLC and UV-Vis spectroscopy systems.
• Support new purification platform development, process scale-up, and troubleshooting.
• Perform production and laboratory testing activities while maintaining product quality.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), OSHA safety regulations, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, experimental data, and production documentation.
• Enter production information into SAP and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
• Monitor laboratory inventory and prepare purchase requisitions for supplies.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance, calibration, and compliance documentation.
• Assist with experimental design, protocol development, investigations, and technical reports.
• Recommend process improvements and contribute to developing or updating SOPs.
• Complete required training and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a science-related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Ability to perform laboratory procedures accurately and maintain detailed documentation.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment, testing procedures, and production support activities.
• Ability to follow SOPs, OSHA safety requirements, and cGMP guidelines.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with internal teams to support equipment maintenance and compliance.
• Willingness to participate in training, experimental activities, and process improvement initiatives.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a science-related field.
• Experience with oligonucleotide purification, downstream processing, or formulation.
• Hands-on experience using HPLC and UV-Vis laboratory instruments.
• Familiarity with SAP, LIMS, and laboratory inventory management.
• Experience supporting process development, scale-up, or troubleshooting in a regulated laboratory or manufacturing environment.
