Senior Power Generation Project Manager

Senior Power Generation Project Manager – HDR, South Carolina Lead and manage natural gas and renewable energy generation projects as Owner’s Engineer and/or Advisor for our South Carolina team. Oversee the entire project lifecycle from pre‑qualification through completion, while building and maintaining client relationships and driving project profitability. Primary Responsibilities Develop and maintain positive and proactive client relationships. Achieve project schedule, quality, and profitability goals. Serve as proposal champion/manager and assist with proposal preparation, contract review, and risk evaluation. Provide daily leadership to the project team and technical staff. Coordinate project communications within the team and with the client to align work plans and expectations. Monitor and maintain the project budget and schedule; develop recovery plans for potential shortfalls. Identify scope changes and manage contract scope. Provide training and mentoring to team staff on project management and consulting issues. Guide design or consulting work in the manager’s area of engineering expertise. Report project progress to accounting and operations teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience with power generation projects in South Carolina. PMP certification. Experience managing simple cycle and combined cycle EPC projects as owner, owner’s engineer, OEM, or EPC contractor. Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects. Strong communication, leadership, planning, and mentoring skills. Local candidates preferred. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. 10 years related experience. Minimum 5 years project management experience. Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position. MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience a plus). Demonstrated leadership, business development, and strategic planning skills. Commitment to an employee‑owned culture is a must.
