About the Position

Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: Allied Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12hr Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year MRI experience required License: ARRT (MR) Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Experience with a variety of patient types including stroke, internal auditory canal, pituitary, feet, abdomen, brain, total spine, defecography, urograms, and enterography. Description: The MRI Technologist will be responsible for performing MRI scans on patients. This role requires operating MRI equipment and ensuring patient safety. Experience with handling critical and vented patients is necessary. The technologist will work closely with a team and may assist in administering contrast. Soft skills such as critical thinking and punctuality are essential. The position will require working independently during night shifts, with limited support. Understanding MRI safety protocols and proper equipment usage is crucial. The technologist will use an EMR system and must be familiar with relevant technology. On-call duties may be required one weekend per month. Holiday work will be expected on a rotating basis. The unit culture emphasizes teamwork and patient care.
