Product Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time Compensation: $100,000 Reports To: Chief Technology Officer Advanced Wireless Communications (AWC) is a technology solutions company focused on communication platforms for National Retail, Senior Living, and Logistics customers. Role Summary As a Product Manager at AWC, you will lead the development and lifecycle of communication platforms that combine embedded hardware, radio systems, and software. You will work closely with engineering, operations, and leadership to define product requirements, guide development, and bring reliable solutions to market for customers in retail, senior living, and logistics environments. This role reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer and works closely with engineering, operations, sales, and executive stakeholders to translate product vision into clear requirements and deliverables. Candidates should be located in or willing to relocate to the Twin Cities metro area and be comfortable working in a hybrid environment. Position Responsibilities Translate product vision and market needs into clear product requirements and specifications Own and maintain product backlogs, prioritization, and release scope decisions Define and maintain product roadmaps and lifecycle strategies Lead product definition through development, validation, production release, and lifecycle management Coordinate with engineering teams across hardware, firmware, and software disciplines Participate in NPI milestones and release readiness reviews Work with contract manufacturers and operations to support cost targets, production schedules, and product revisions Develop product documentation, business enablement materials, and launch plans Support strategic sales opportunities, customer discussions, and product training Incorporate customer and field feedback into roadmap planning and continuous product improvement Evaluate market trends, customer needs, and competitive offerings to inform product decisions Qualifications and Required Skills 5+ years of experience in engineering, technical product development, or a related technical environment 3+ years of experience in a product management role Experience working with hardware products, embedded systems, or integrated hardware/software platforms Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical background Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional technical teams Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience working in agile or hybrid development environments Comfortable operating in a changing and evolving product environment Preferred Experience Experience managing products through the full hardware lifecycle including validation and production release Familiarity with contract manufacturing and supply chain considerations Experience with development management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar Experience in communication systems, IoT, or industrial technology environments About AWC Advanced Wireless Communications (AWC) specializes in communication solutions that help industries work smarter, faster, and safer.
