WelderThis role focuses on MIG welding steel components for conveyor systems while consistently meeting engineering specifications and quality standards. You will interpret detailed blueprints, prepare and execute welds, and operate a variety of metalworking machinery in a growing fabrication environment.Job ResponsibilitiesPerform MIG welding on steel components used in conveyor systems according to engineering specifications and quality requirementsRead and interpret engineering blueprints to understand weld locations, sizes, and technical requirementsMeasure and lay out weld locations and sizes accurately before welding to ensure proper fit and alignmentReview drawings and instructions thoroughly prior to beginning each welding task to confirm materials, methods, and sequence of operationsExecute welds using appropriate equipment, techniques, and filler metals as specified on drawings and work ordersOperate metalworking machinery such as rollers, drill presses, flame cutters, saws, brakes, and shears safely and efficientlyEssential SkillsProficiency in MIG welding on steel componentsAbility to read and interpret engineering blueprints accuratelyExperience measuring and laying out weld locations and sizes with precisionDemonstrated ability to execute welds using the proper equipment and filler metals according to specifications on drawingsSkill in reviewing and understanding drawings prior to beginning welding tasksCompetence in the proper use of metalworking machinery, including rollers, drill presses, flame cutters, saws, brakes, and shearsThis is a Permanent position based out of Dearborn, MI.The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
