About This Role The Registered Nurse (RN) in Inpatient Dual Diagnosis provides high-quality patient-centered care utilizing the nursing process. Highlights Location: Manchester, CT Facility: Manchester Memorial Hospital Department/Unit: Inpatient Dual Diagnosis Schedule: Part Time, Evening shift What You'll Do Perform comprehensive assessments and re-assessments of the patient’s condition and care needs. Assess and reassess pain, utilizing appropriate pain management tools and techniques. Educate patients and families regarding pain management. Develop and revise individualized treatment plans based on assessment and patient response. Evaluate overall treatment plans daily for effectiveness. Follow the five medication rights to reduce potential medication errors. Document the nursing process and responses to care in a timely manner. Formulate teaching plans based on identified learning needs and evaluate effectiveness. Collaborate and communicate with all members of the treatment team. Provide psychotherapeutic treatment to patients and document interventions.
