AHMG’s advanced practice providers manage the treatment and care for our patients in the practice setting, as well as at AdventHealth’s eleven campuses in Altamonte Springs, Apopka, Celebration, AdventHealth for Children, East Orlando, Kissimmee, Orlando, Winter Park, Waterman, Winter Garden, and AdventHealth for Women ADVENTHEALTH MEDICAL GROUP RADIATION ONCOLOGY AT CENTRAL FLORIDA Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) Full Time Opportunity at AdventHealth Kissimmee General Summary: The APRN or PA-C, under the supervision of the Physician(s) who acts as the collaborative practitioner(s), is responsible for: • Performing physical examinations of patients’ evaluation and treatment of radiation oncology patients in the outpatient and inpatient settings • This position will also assist with the survivorship clinic and collaborate with surgical oncology • Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc. • Monitors the patient’s course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed • Collaborates with physician supervisor and staff, as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff • Displays a caring and professional attitude at all time as well as maintaining personal and professional growth • Conditions managed Cancers of Brain, HN, Skin, Thorax, Breast, Gastrointestinal system, Genitourinary system, Gynecologic system, Lymphatic system Knowledge and Skills Required: • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, patients, and the public • Strong communication skills • Strong medical decision-making skills are a must • Radiation Oncology experience preferred however strong clinical background with an emphasis on sub-specialty oncology related conditions would be beneficial • Candidate must be able to pass a third-party background check and pre-employment drug screen Schedule : • Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM • Campus: AH Kissimmee Required Education/Experience: • Master’s degree in APRN or Physician Assistant studies • 1-2 years Sub-Specialty experience in Oncology and/or Radiation Oncology experience as an APRN or PA • Bi-lingual- Spanish preferred not required Licensure, Certification, and Registration: • Current, valid Florida ARNP or PA license • ANCC, AANP (or equivalent) or NCCPA certification is required • BLS and ACLS required • ONS Certification preferred
