Position Overview

As an After School Counselor, you will provide direct supervision and leadership to elementary and middle school-aged children in an engaging and safe environment. You will lead recreational activities, educational programs, arts and crafts, games, and enrichment activities while serving as a positive role model and mentor.

You will play a key role in creating a fun, welcoming, and supportive atmosphere where children can learn, grow, and thrive.

Responsibilities

• Supervise groups of children in a safe and structured environment
• Lead age-appropriate activities, games, and enrichment programs
• Promote positive behavior and effective classroom management
• Monitor student safety at all times
• Assist with attendance tracking and program documentation
• Build positive relationships with students, families, and staff
• Support program goals and daily operations
• Help maintain clean, organized, and safe activity areas
• Follow all safety, health, and child supervision guidelines
• Participate in staff meetings and training opportunities
