A Level I Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center in Youngstown, Ohio is seeking a locum Neurosurgeon for ASAP coverage pending credentialing . The facility is fully equipped to handle the most serious emergencies, with comprehensive hospital services available 24/7 .

Assignment Details

Location: Youngstown, OH
Coverage Dates: March 3 10
Start: ASAP pending credentialing
Practice Setting: Hospital-based
Trauma Designation: Level I
Stroke Designation: Primary Stroke Center
EMR: EPIC

Schedule

On-call coverage
8 12 hour shifts

Clinical Volume

Average 1 2 emergent surgical cases per day
Adult and geriatric patients
Emergent cases through the Emergency Department

Team & Resources

1 employed neurosurgeon
1 non-employed neurosurgeon
Neuro IR available in-house

Required Neurosurgery Procedures

Adult neurosurgery (emergent)
Trauma neurosurgery
Brain bleed control
Clot removal
Tumor removal
Trauma repair
Shunt insertion and revision

Required Spine Procedures

Spine stabilization and reconstruction
Vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty
Spinal fusion
Laminectomy
Diskectomy

Compensation TBD/Negotiable

Daily on-call rate
Premium call-back rate
