Role Description The Housekeeping Manager is a full-time, on-site role located at Homewood Suites by Hilton in New Hartford, NY. This role oversees the daily operations of the housekeeping department, including room attendants, laundry staff, and public area cleaners to ensure brand standards of cleanliness and presentation are consistently met. Responsibilities include scheduling and supervising staff, conducting inspections of guest rooms and public areas, managing inventory of cleaning supplies and linens, and coordinating with maintenance and front office teams to address guest needs. The Housekeeping Manager is also responsible for training team members, supporting hiring decisions within the department, and reinforcing safety, quality, and service standards. This role interacts regularly with guests and team members to handle service requests, resolve concerns, and contribute to a welcoming, efficient hotel environment. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills and experience in Hiring and training housekeeping or service teams. Candidates should possess hands-on Laundry and housekeeping operations skills, including knowledge of cleaning procedures and linen handling. Candidates should possess excellent Customer Service and Communication skills for interacting with guests and collaborating with hotel colleagues. Candidates should possess organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and adherence to cleanliness and safety standards. Previous experience in hotel housekeeping management or a similar leadership role in hospitality or facilities is preferred. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as needed to support hotel operations. Knowledge of basic computer systems for scheduling, inventory, and reporting is beneficial.
