Requisition No: 875689 Agency: Agency for Health Care Administration Working Title: 68064608 - HEALTH FACILITY EVALUATOR II Overview The Bureau of Field Operations is responsible for the survey and certification process of health care facilities across the State of Florida. These surveys ensure that all state licensed and federally certified health care facilities meet the established state and/or federal requirements so patients and residents receive safe, quality health care. Field Operations staff also ensure the safety of residents in health care facilities during emergencies such as natural disasters. Responsibilities Conduct inspections utilizing an established survey process, including evaluation of health care facilities for state licensure and federal certification requirements for participation under Medicare/Medicaid. Document findings and complete written reports of survey findings. Perform surveys as an individual, a team member, or a team leader. Work during weekends or holidays as required, and be available before and after normal work hours. Travel extensively, including significant overnight travel. May need to work in other counties or staffing locations during disasters. Perform duties required by the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test within the first 12 months of employment. Work during emergencies or disasters, possibly beyond normal work hours or days, in collaboration with other State Agencies. Utilize computer equipment and software programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, and smart phone technology. Qualifications Minimum of three (3) years of professional or nonprofessional health care licensure, regulation, and/or certification experience. Knowledge of state licensure and federal certification survey requirements. Proficiency in compiling, organizing, and analyzing data. Ability to develop and implement monitoring methodologies. Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Strong prioritization, planning, organization, and coordination skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate effectively. Skills in oral communication, attentive listening, interview procedures, team dynamics, performance evaluations. Ability to utilize microcomputer equipment and software to enter, retrieve and manipulate data for licensure and certification functions. Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis. Compensation Competitive Area Differential (CAD) and will be hired at $1,692.31 + $36.80 = $1,729.11 – $1,946.16 + $36.80 = $1,982.96 biweekly. Background Screening Applicants must successfully complete a State and National criminal history check as a condition of employment before beginning employment. Background screening includes fingerprinting for state and federal criminal records checks through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and may include local criminal history checks through local law enforcement agencies.
