We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a temporary contract assignment in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan . This is an excellent opportunity to work a consistent weekday schedule with no weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities .
Position Details:
- Job Type: Temporary / Contract.
- Location: Sault Ste. Marie, MI.
- Shift: Days.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM (8-hour shifts).
- Alternative Schedule: Potential for 4 x 10-hour shifts after orientation.
- Weekends: None.
- Holidays: None.
- On-Call: None.
- EMR: Epic.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Perform nuclear medicine imaging using gamma cameras, SPECT, and PET equipment.
- Start IVs and administer medications using aseptic technique.
- Perform quality control and routine maintenance on nuclear medicine equipment.
- Follow NRC regulations and ALARA radiation safety principles.
- Accurately document patient care and procedures in Epic EMR.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of recent Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience .
- Current ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification.
- Current BLS certification (AHA) .
- Experience with gamma cameras, SPECT, PET, dose calibrators, and IV insertion.
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety standards and quality control procedures.
