Our team builds the platform which enables enterprise agents to safely execute autonomous work in governed environments.We're looking for an SDE II who can ramp quickly, deliver features end-to-end, and thrive in greenfield work. Much of what we're building doesn't exist yet. You'll take early designs to production, make pragmatic calls about what to build versus what to compose from existing AWS services, and ship on a schedule tied to real customer milestones. The pace is high and the roadmap is concrete, with re:Invent deliverables targeted for this year. The team is small enough that your work goes to production fast and visibly. If you like owning features from design through production and want your work to be the reason enterprises trust AI agents, this team is for you.Key job responsibilities* Own features end-to-end: design, implement, test, deploy, and operate in production* Build new services for policy enforcement, session recording and replay, and human-in-the-loop approval workflows* Integrate with AWS services and make build-vs-compose decisions with your team* Handle customer content with care: recording pipelines, retention, and access controls where correctness is the product* Collaborate with engineers on adjacent teams to unblock dependencies and align on interfaces* Contribute to operational excellence: oncall, runbooks, alarms, and incident responseA day in the lifeYour mornings are usually free for focus work — writing code, reviewing CRs, and working through whatever problem you've picked up. Around 11 you'll have standup, then grab lunch with the team (if you like) before the afternoon opens up for integration work, cross-team syncs, or design reviews. The team is small, so you'll know what everyone is working on, and when something breaks, the whole team rallies. Our pipelines are full CD, our ticket queue is small, and when something pages us we fix the root cause — not just the symptom. We encourage responsible AI usage across our development workflow — it's one way our team moves fast. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
