Overview

One Life Movers, operated by Barnes OneLife LLC, is hiring a Professional Driver / Mover — Non-CDL . We are looking for a reliable, punctual, professional, and hardworking person who can safely operate a box truck and also perform hands-on moving work.

This is not a driving-only position . The right candidate must be able to drive, lift, load, unload, wrap furniture, move household goods safely, assist with basic assembly and disassembly, and communicate professionally with customers.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a box truck when assigned
• Load, unload, wrap, pad, protect, and move furniture and household goods
• Properly secure items inside the truck to prevent shifting or damage
• Use moving equipment safely, including dollies, straps, moving blankets, and basic tools
• Disassemble and reassemble beds, dressers, workout equipment, and other household items as needed
• Complete basic pre-job and post-job walk-throughs with customers when needed
• Communicate professionally with customers and calmly de-escalate concerns when needed
• Report damages, delays, customer concerns, or safety issues to management right away
• Follow company policies, safety procedures, and customer property protection standards
• Keep the truck, equipment, and work areas clean and organized
• Represent One Life Movers professionally at every job

Requirements

• Prior moving, delivery, furniture assembly, or box truck experience strongly preferred
• Valid driver’s license required
• Clean driving record preferred
• Must be 21 years or older to drive company vehicles
• No CDL required
• DOT medical card is a plus
• Reliable transportation preferred
• Must be reliable, punctual, and dependable
• Must be able to lift and carry 75+ lbs safely
• Must be able to work long, physically demanding shifts
• Must be comfortable working in different weather conditions and job-site environments
• Must be able to communicate clearly in English with customers, crew members, and management for safety, job instructions, and customer service
• Bilingual communication skills are a plus
• Must maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene
• Must be willing to wear the company uniform

Pay

Base pay is $18–$25 per hour , depending on experience, plus tips. Tips vary by job and are not guaranteed, but with hourly pay and tips combined, this position has an average earning potential of $28+ per hour .

Schedule

Full-time employees may work a 4-day work week with 10-hour shifts , based on business needs. Most weekends are required, and early morning start times are common. Part-time and seasonal opportunities may also be available.

30-Day Introductory Period

All new hires begin with a 30-day introductory period. Reliability, punctuality, professionalism, safety, customer service, teamwork, and job performance will be evaluated.
