Compensation: $160,000 – $220,000 base + equity (0.1%–0.3%)
An innovative, AI-driven technology organization is seeking a Backend Engineer to help build the next generation of real-time, intelligent user research platforms. This role focuses on developing scalable backend systems that support advanced voice-to-voice interactions, real-time data streaming, and AI-powered insights.
The ideal candidate is highly technical, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is comfortable owning projects end-to-end—from concept through production deployment. This is a high-impact opportunity to work closely with executive leadership and directly influence product and technical strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate closely with executive leadership on technical strategy and product direction
- Design, develop, and optimize backend services, APIs, and data processing systems
- Build and maintain real-time data streaming infrastructure
- Contribute to the development and improvement of in-house AI/LLM-based systems
- Lead engineering projects from initial concept through deployment and scaling
- Ensure system performance, scalability, and reliability in production environments
- Engage with users to gather feedback and continuously improve product functionality
- 3–10 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on backend systems
- Proven experience building and maintaining production-grade applications
- Strong proficiency in backend development using Python and frameworks such as Django
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL )
- Hands-on experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and deliver end-to-end solutions
- Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
- Experience with real-time data streaming or distributed systems
- Familiarity with WebRTC or real-time communication technologies
- Exposure to AI/ML infrastructure or Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Prior experience in startup or high-growth environments
- On-site role with an expectation of approximately 80–100% in-office حضور
