QA, Technologist (Label Compliance)

QA TechnologistThe QA Technologist supports the retailers overall program objectives through the management and implementation of label compliance practices. They will be required to manage the timely submission of all informal and formal regulatory label compliance reviews in support of the private brands program to ensure retailer label compliance. The role manages relationships with retailer cross-functional teams, customers and manufacturers. They will also be expected to regularly review and provide adjustments to current processes and procedures to maximize efficiencies.Support the development, implementation and administration of Quality Assurance operational procedures, policies, programs and systemsParticipate in overall product approval processResolve issues or concerns regarding current product quality and recommends solutions for corrective action with manufacturers.Audit critical categories for label compliance integrity.Track and monitor federal and state regulations for products and packagingSupervisory ResponsibilitiesDirect Reports- This position does not have supervisory responsibilities for direct reportsIndirect Reports- This position does not have guidance or mentoring responsibilities for indirect reportsTravel and/or Driving Requirements- Travel and Driving are not essential duties or functions of this jobMinimum Qualifications The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the jobEducation Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experienceField of Study/Area of Experience: Food Science or Related Field2+ Years of experience in Science with labratory experience requiredSkills, Knowledge and Abilities Strong Written & Verbal Communication SkillsAbility to Exercise Sound JudgementWell Organized, Detail Oriented, & able to Handle Fast Paced Work EnvironmentFlexible & Adaptable, able to change & Alter According to changes in Projects or Business EnvironmentKnowledge of generally accepted practices, procedures, & standard policy & procedure development techniquesKnowedgable in Data Analysis, Compile Information, & Prepare ReportsBasic Computer Skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook, & web browsersEnvironmental & Physical Requirements Office / Sedentary Requirements Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment.
