Summary:

• Independently performs electrical and mechanical assembly of prototype systems and processes.

• Configures laboratory test systems using CF, KF, NPT, and VCR fittings for vacuum and gas-handling setups.

• Wires assemblies and creates test cables.

• Uses equipment such as multimeters, signal generator, oscilloscopes, Lakeshores for temperature measurement, vacuum pumps, and vacuum gauges.

• Troubleshoots problems or performs routine maintenance on equipment such as compressors, scroll vacuum pumps, and turbomolecular vacuum pumps.

• Works on chilled water systems or liquefied gas systems.

• Assists senior technicians, engineers, and scientists in the execution of project milestones and deliverables.

• Assists in documentation of existing systems and processes.

• Performs general lab maintenance and organization, engages in 5S events.

• Operates or troubleshoots cryogenic and electromagnetic equipment with a strong safety mindset.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• High school degree or equivalent with 4-6 years of experience in the field.

• Practical, hands-on experience working with vacuum systems, particularly configuring laboratory test systems using CF, KF, NPT, and VCR fittings for vacuum and gas-handling setups.

• Experience with wiring assemblies and creating test cables.

• Experience with chilled water systems and liquefied gas systems.

• Experience with equipment such as multimeters, signal generator, oscilloscopes, Lakeshores for temperature measurement, vacuum pumps, and vacuum gauges.

• Experience troubleshooting problems or performing routine maintenance on equipment such as compressors, scroll vacuum pumps, and turbomolecular vacuum pumps.

• Experience working in an R&D setting.

• Experience writing and developing SOP documentation.

• Experience with LabVIEW and/or Python.
