Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:00–06:00) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to Labor and Delivery patients, with postpartum experience preferred
• Care for high-risk OB patients within a culturally diverse population
• Circulate on cesarean sections as needed
• Float within scope to meet facility staffing needs; travelers are first to float
• Maintain an average daily census of 15–20 patients across an 11-room, 15-bed unit
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN license required ; pending licenses are not accepted
• Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
• Weekend availability required to meet staffing needs
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal; post-offer RTO may not be considered or granted, with a maximum of 7 days RTO
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a standard traveler

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Postpartum nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience working with high-risk OB populations
• Familiarity with cesarean section circulating responsibilities
• Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers are also considered
