Transactions are executed both in the capital markets (where Citi places the financings with institutional investors) and lending facilities funded through Citi's commercial paper conduits and balance sheet.ABS&F offers a unique perspective as an underwriter of capital markets transactions, as well as credit analyst for lending transactions. ABS&F also advises clients on balance sheet management, transaction execution and often provides secured financing and advice in conjunction with event driven transactions including M&As and restructurings.Our clients include leading captive and independent financial companies, banks, asset managers, and corporates – both in the US and abroad. Our group regularly collaborates with analytics, trading, sales, syndicate, derivatives, corporate banking and investment banking professionals across the organization. Members of our securitization team are located in various cities around the world including New York, Hong Kong, London and Sydney.Citi is a market leader in both traditional and non-traditional ABS asset classes and is consistently a top ranked practitioner in the market.Associate Role: Our group typically works in small transaction teams (2-4 team members) and seeks a high level of participation and collaboration from all members. The role will be focused within the fintech, subprime auto, and private credit-focused vertical.Associate Responsibilities and Opportunities:Expand your knowledge about fixed income markets, corporate capital structures and securitization marketsAssociates will work in deal teams to structure and originate transactions for our clients and will be responsible to:Develop rating agency materials and presentations to support the transaction's ratingsReview structuring models and prepare transaction analyticsWork with transaction parties (issuer, lawyers and accountants) to develop offering documentsDevelop materials for the sales and syndication processRespond to investor inquiries and aggregate investor feedbackIn a lending capacity Analysts will be responsible to:Review performance and risk of assetsConduct diligence on new platformsAssess pricing and benchmark to comparable transactionsAssist officers and lawyers with transaction documentsWork with colleagues to develop credit materials and facilitate the approval processFacilitate transaction execution with our operations teamMonitor transactions on an ongoing basisAssociates are encouraged to take a leadership role on projectsLead or participate in client discussionsAnalyze market trends and relative value of ABS productsDevelop advanced Excel, PowerPoint and ABS modelling skillsKey Skills & Experience:At least 2 years of experience working with ABS transactionsAbility to lead lending and ABS structuring transactionsCapacity to coordinate and develop junior professionalsDetail-oriented, organized and able to work as part of a teamExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong quantitative skills; familiarity with Microsoft Excel requiredExperience working with large data setsBachelor's degree in finance or closely related areas of Business Administration preferredExperience with accounting and financial statement analysisExperience creating financial analysesAbility to manage multiple transactions simultaneouslySeries 79, 7 and 63 licensesEducation:Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experienceThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
