Job Posting ***MUST BE IN IOWA OR ABLE TO RELOCATE IMMEDIATELY WITHIN 2 WEEKS OF OFFER. Position: .Net Developer Location: ONSITE in West Des Moines, Iowa - need to be in the office for the first few weeks of training and then weekly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays after that. Duration: Contract - 3-6 months to start Overview: This position will design and develop new software programs by analyzing end-user and client needs. Will assist programming staff in troubleshooting complex issues. Responsibilities: Performs needs analysis of clients and end users. Researches, plans, designs and develops one or more components of a single larger system or entire moderate or small systems. Designs and codes new reports, programs, and other software and system components according to department and Company guidelines. Tests all code written or modified. Partners with testing team for regression and quality assurance testing. Collaborates with customers and end users to ensure changes reflect are appropriate. Assists other programming staff in the analysis and research of issues. May implement relational database design and modeling using the appropriate relational database software. Writes or revises system and operation documentation for complex new and existing programs and systems following Company and client standards. Stays abreast of industry trends. Researches and designs the use of new technologies. Makes recommendations for changes or improvements utilizing new technology. May serve as a resource and technical expert to clients and less experienced staff. Participates in or leads portions of the planning, researching, designing and evaluation of software. Serves as a resource expert to staff and management. May provide direction to less experienced programming staff. Requirements: Minimum of 3 years’ experience developing and maintaining solutions utilizing the Microsoft ecosystem. Fluency with either VB.Net or C#, as well as familiarity with T-SQL stored procedures. Familiar with Microsoft developer technologies including but not limited to: Visual Studio,.Net Framework, Team Foundation Server, and Git Source Code Control. This role will be directly client-facing, and will work with operations staff to gather requirements, perform testing, and plan and perform deployments. Candidate will need strong time management skills and will need to be able to communicate progress and timelines amidst shifting priorities. Experience working with state Medicaid programs or in a healthcare-related industry is preferred. Experience working directly with end users is preferred.
