Overview
Radiology Tech – CT Technologist required for a travel assignment in Bakersfield, California. Start date: 09/21/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,449 to $2,641 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Responsibilities
- Operate computed tomography (CT) equipment, producing cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue to support diagnoses. Perform a variety of imaging procedures not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.
- Prepare and position patients, verify orders, apply appropriate imaging protocols, and ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
- Administer or assist with contrast administration as required, monitor patients for adverse reactions, and communicate findings to the interpreting radiologist.
- Optimize image quality by selecting technical factors, adjusting equipment, and performing basic quality control checks; document procedures and ensure accurate labeling and storage of images.
- Maintain radiation safety practices, protect patients and staff, and adhere to regulatory and departmental policies; collaborate with radiology team to ensure efficient workflow.
- Complete routine charting, file documentation, and ensure images are properly attached to patient records for interpretation.

Requirements
- Active radiologic technologist license valid in California.
- CT certification (ARRT-CT) required or ARRT-CT eligibility with ability to obtain certification during the assignment.
- Education: Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent from an approved program.
- Experience: CT imaging experience required or 1 year of CT-related work preferred; travel/radiology assignments welcomed.
- BLS certification preferred or as required by facility policy.
- Ability to work nights, 12-hour shifts, and adapt to a hospital-based environment; able to travel for assignment as needed.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and quality imaging; strong teamwork and communication skills.
