Job Summary


We are seeking a highly experienced GCP Integration Platform & API Engineering Delivery Leader to drive the design, governance, modernization, and operational excellence of enterprise integration, API management, and cloud platforms for large-scale healthcare initiatives. The role will provide technical leadership across architecture, platform engineering, API strategy, cloud operations, and integration modernization while leading distributed teams and collaborating with business and technology stakeholders.


The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Apigee, Event-Driven Architecture, Enterprise Integration, DevOps, and Platform Engineering along with strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.


Key Leadership Responsibilities



Technology & Architecture Leadership

• Own and drive the enterprise API and integration strategy.
• Define long-term roadmap for API Management, Event-Driven Architecture, and Cloud Platform modernization.
• Establish architecture principles, standards, and best practices across integration and API ecosystems.
• Act as the technical authority for cloud-native integration solutions.
• Lead architecture reviews and design governance boards.
• Provide technical leadership to architects, engineers, and delivery teams.
• Drive innovation through adoption of modern integration patterns and cloud technologies.

API Strategy & Platform Governance



API Management & Apigee Leadership

• Define enterprise-wide API-first strategy and adoption roadmap.
• Establish API governance framework covering:
  • Design standards
  • Versioning strategy
  • Security controls
  • Reusability standards
  • Lifecycle management
• Lead implementation and evolution of Apigee platform capabilities.
• Oversee API product lifecycle management and developer experience initiatives.
• Drive API monetization and partner integration strategy where applicable.
• Establish API platform KPIs and operational excellence metrics.

Enterprise Integration Leadership

• Define Enterprise Integration Hub vision and architecture using:
  • Apigee
  • Pub/Sub
  • Eventarc
  • Cloud Run
• Lead modernization of legacy batch and file-based integrations to API-led and event-driven architectures.
• Establish enterprise integration standards, reference architectures, and reusable patterns.
• Define canonical data models and enterprise API standards.
• Drive integration platform scalability, resiliency, and business continuity planning.

Cloud Platform Leadership



Cloud Operations Governance

• Establish enterprise observability strategy across cloud platforms.
• Define monitoring, logging, tracing, and operational standards.
• Ensure proactive operational management through SLI/SLO/SLA frameworks.
• Drive platform reliability and service excellence initiatives.
• Lead incident management governance and continuous improvement programs.

Security & Compliance Leadership

• Define enterprise API and cloud security architecture.
• Establish security standards including:
  • OAuth2.0
  • OpenID Connect
  • JWT
  • mTLS
  • API security policies
• Ensure compliance with healthcare, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with cybersecurity teams to implement enterprise security controls.

Platform Engineering & DevOps Strategy

• Define DevSecOps and platform engineering roadmap.
• Standardize CI/CD frameworks using:
  • Cloud Build
  • GitHub Actions
  • Terraform
• Establish Infrastructure as Code governance.
• Drive automation-first culture across engineering teams.
• Promote reusable platform components and deployment accelerators.
• Oversee container platform strategy leveraging:
  • Cloud Run
  • GKE

Delivery & Stakeholder Management

• Partner with business leadership, client stakeholders, and enterprise architects.
• Translate business objectives into scalable technology solutions.
• Lead executive discussions and architecture steering committees.
• Manage cross-functional engineering, infrastructure, security, and operations teams.
• Drive delivery governance and risk management across strategic initiatives.
• Ensure alignment between technology investments and business outcomes.

People Leadership

• Build and mentor high-performing cloud, integration, and API engineering teams.
• Provide technical coaching and career development guidance.
• Conduct architecture reviews and engineering quality assessments.
• Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement.
• Support talent acquisition, capability development, and succession planning.

Leadership Experience

• Experience managing globally distributed engineering teams.
• Experience engaging executive stakeholders and client leadership.

The pay range for this role is $150,000-$170,000 per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
