The California Secretary of State’s Business Programs Division (BPD) is seeking a qualified applicant to fill a permanent, full-time Analyst I position within the BPD Financial Section. A Training and Development (T&D) Assignment will be considered for this recruitment. To be appointed to the classification, the successful T&D candidate must fully meet the minimum qualifications by the end of the T&D assignment. Under the supervision of the Supervisor I, the incumbent works in support of the coordination, preparation, analysis, and monitoring of financial reporting and payment related activities, including projections, reconciliation, contract management, audit support, and interaction with staff of all levels. Desirable Qualifications Strong math and analytical skills. Experience with evaluating existing processes and making recommendations to improve efficiencies. Strong collaborative skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of departmental personnel. Ability to meet deadlines, take initiative, and work independently and/or in a team environment. Exercise sound professional judgment and behavior. Accept responsibility for actions when completing tasks and dealing with both internal and external customers. Punctuality and good attendance are essential. Excellent problem resolution skills. Demonstrate consistent attention to detail.
