DevOps Engineer
Milwaukee, WI (Remote )
4+Month Contract
Client is seeking a Sr. Technical Consultant with extensive IT and cloud experience to design, implement, and support cloud-based solutions across Azure, AWS, and/or GCP environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and migrate cloud architectures (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
- Manage core infrastructure: compute, storage, networking, and high availability
- Automate workflows using Terraform, PowerShell, and Git
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins
- Configure and manage Azure services (Logic Apps, Monitor/Log Analytics, Defender for Cloud, IoT, Advisor)
- Support identity and authentication solutions (SSO, AD, Azure AD, ADFS)
- Work with data platforms (SQL Server, Azure SQL DB, Cosmos DB, HDInsight/Hadoop, ML)
- Monitor systems, optimize performance, and manage cloud costs
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in a team environment
- Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Minimum 8 years of IT experience with at least 3 years in cloud (Azure, AWS, and/or GCP)
- Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies
- Hands-on experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS services
- Experience with scripting and automation tools (Terraform, PowerShell, Git)
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, hub-spoke model, on-prem integration, VWAN)
- Experience with CI/CD and deployment automation tools
- Experience implementing cloud cost management solutions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Relevant cloud certifications (AZ-400, AWS DevOps Engineer, or similar) preferred
- 3 years of Cloud experience (Azure, AWS, and/or GCP)
- Strong scripting and automation skills
- Core IaaS: Compute, Storage, Networking, High Availability,
- Azure PaaS Services: Logic Apps, Azure Monitor/Log Analytics, Defender for Cloud, IoT suite, Advisor, etc.
