Pay: $25.00–$28.00/hour | Paid weekly
Employment Type: W2 Contract | 12 Months with the possibilities of extensions
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 5:00 AM–1:30 PM PST
Work Model: Fully Onsite

BEPC is hiring 2 Chemical Manufacturing Technicians to support our client's specialty chemical manufacturing operations in Carlsbad, CA.

You'll work with high-purity chemicals, perform vessel decontamination and acid washing, operate manufacturing equipment, and help ensure safe, accurate chemical processing.

This opportunity is ideal for candidates with manufacturing, chemical handling, equipment cleaning, or industrial operations experience who enjoy working both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual and automated vessel decontamination.
• Conduct acid washing of stainless steel and quartz vessels.
• Perform nitrogen purging and vessel preparation activities.
• Fill and package vessels with high-purity chemicals.
• Safely handle chemicals, including acids, acetone, and isopropyl alcohol (IPA).
• Consolidate hazardous waste according to established safety procedures.
• Assemble and rebuild vessels using drawings, instructions, and hand tools such as torque wrenches.
• Inspect vessels and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist engineering teams with equipment troubleshooting.
• Support receiving, truck unloading, and material movement.
• Complete production records and data entry.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to wear a full-face air-purifying respirator and required PPE.
• Comfortable working around industrial chemicals and following strict safety procedures.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and follow written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, dependability, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work the full 5:00 AM–1:30 PM, Monday–Friday schedule.

Preferred

• Previous chemical handling or chemical manufacturing experience.
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with acids, acetone, IPA, and hazardous material procedures.
• SAP or LIMS experience.
• Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, or SharePoint experience.
• Ability to read Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Forklift or pallet jack experience; onsite certification training is available.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Physical & Safety Requirements

• Frequently lift or carry 25–35 lbs and occasionally 36–50 lbs.
• Must be able to wear a full-face air-purifying respirator and other required PPE.
• Must meet applicable respirator fit-testing and safety requirements, including facial-hair restrictions where the respirator seals against the face.
• Work safely around chemicals and hazardous materials.
• Complete required pre-placement screening, which includes a fit-for-duty evaluation, respirator testing, physical examination, background check, and drug screening.
