Role Overview As a Patient Registration Rep, you will be the welcoming face and voice of Henry Ford Health, ensuring all patients receive a seamless and compassionate registration experience. You will support patients, visitors, and clinical/non-clinical staff by managing registration activities, verifying insurance eligibility, and advocating for patient needs. Your role is crucial in creating a positive first impression and ensuring smooth access to care. What You Will Do Follow standard operating procedures for patient registration, including face-to-face check-in and preregistration. Confirm insurance eligibility and manage cash collections. Update patient registration and insurance information accurately. Respond to inquiries from callers and customers, advocating on their behalf to meet their needs. Provide efficient and effective customer relationship management, instilling loyalty and anticipating needs. Qualifications Required: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Ability to meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities, standards, and behaviors effectively over the telephone, in person, and in writing. Preferred: One (1) year of experience related to patient admitting, registration, and/or insurance eligibility and verification in a hospital or medical office setting. EPIC training/experience and familiarity with insurance payor systems and ICD-10 medical terminology.
