Reliability Engineer

AstraZeneca seeks a Reliability Engineer to optimize equipment performance and uptime at its Philadelphia manufacturing site. The role combines asset strategy planning with day-to-day production support in a cGMP environment, using data-driven methods to improve reliability and reduce waste.
Responsibilities
- Create and review monthly maintenance performance metrics to improve uptime and compliance across site
- Define, track, and optimize KPIs related to equipment availability, mean time between failures, and maintenance productivity
- Lead root cause analysis investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence
- Manage end-to-end projects including scope control, stakeholder alignment, risk management, and on-time delivery
- Develop and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce unplanned downtime
Requirements
- 3–5 years of reliability engineering experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, nuclear, or petrochemical sectors
- High school diploma minimum; bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field preferred
- Cross-functional team leadership and collaboration on technical projects
- Proficiency in root cause analysis, RCM, FMEA, and Lean methodologies
- Green Belt certification and Lean experience preferred
- Training or certification in thermography, vibration analysis, or ultrasonic testing (desired)
