Role:
Our client, a growing industrial organization, is seeking an Accountant to join their plant accounting team. This role will be support day-to-day accounting operations at a manufacturing facility, including month-end close, inventory accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, cost analysis, and internal controls. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to expand their manufacturing finance experience and gain exposure to plant-level operations.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Perform inventory accounting activities, including raw material and parts inventory tracking, reconciliations, and cycle counts.
• Analyze manufacturing operating costs and provide reporting insights to plant and corporate leadership.
• Prepare financial analyses, including actual-to-budget comparisons and trend reporting.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and support internal controls related to financial reporting and asset management.
• Assist with tracking and accounting for plant equipment, including asset records, leases, and related documentation.
• Collaborate with operations teams to monitor inventory accuracy, production costs, and capital expenditure needs.
• Review and maintain proper coding and setup of inventory items and accounting records.
• Assist with audits, special projects, process improvements, and other general accounting initiatives.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including operations, purchasing, vendors, and corporate finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of accounting experience within the manufacturing, industrial, or plant environment
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across various levels of an organization.

Compensation:

Working Situation:
This will be 3 days on site position with the ability to work 2 days from home.
