CEI Senior Inspector

AECOM is actively seeking a highly skilled CEI Senior Inspector to join our team and support ongoing construction engineering and inspection efforts in the Orlando, FL area. This role will play a critical part in ensuring that major transportation and infrastructure projects are delivered in accordance with FDOT standards, contract requirements, and overall project objectives.

Responsibilities include performing highly complex technical assignments related to field surveying and construction layout, verifying engineering computations, inspecting construction work, and conducting field testing to maintain quality and compliance standards. The role also involves coordinating, overseeing, and providing guidance to junior inspectors, operating under the general supervision of the Project Administrator, and utilizing experience and sound judgment to effectively plan, prioritize, and accomplish project goals.

Additional duties include establishing and managing project timelines and deadlines, providing on-the-job training and mentorship to new team members, monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and applicable code requirements, conducting daily field inspections, and participating in punch list development, system testing, and commissioning activities to ensure project completion standards are met.

Tracks and reports on quality assurance progress, identifying and addressing any deficiencies, and contributes to documentation for area and equipment turnover packages, ensuring completeness and accuracy for project closeout.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma plus four years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, U.S. citizenship, and a valid US driver's license required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, the selected candidate must pass a motor vehicle records review.

Preferred qualifications include four years of CEI experience in roadway or bridge construction, CTQP Final Estimates Level I, CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level I, CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II (Bridges), CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I, CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level II, CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I, CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level II, CTQP Pile Driving Inspection, CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection, FDOT Intermediate MOT, IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I, Nuclear Radiation Safety, and Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors.
