Job Opportunity: Obstetrician and Gynecologist Faculty Position

Our organization, affiliated with the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, is looking for a board-eligible or board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist to join our full-time faculty at the Hurley Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Training Program located at the Flint Campus.

Hurley Medical Center, situated in Flint, Michigan, serves a diverse patient demographic and offers a broad range of medical cases while focusing on health disparities. We are proud to deliver around 3,000 babies annually. Our Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology consists of a vibrant team of faculty physicians, private practitioners, advanced practice providers, and registered nurses. We feature a Level III NICU and a Center for Maternal Fetal Medicine, enabling us to handle high-risk pregnancies. Additionally, we are recognized as a Level 3 facility by the Joint Commission Maternal Levels of Care Program. Opportunities for minimally invasive robotic surgeries are available using the da Vinci Xi surgical system. Our graduates are well-prepared for successful careers as specialists or subspecialists.

The selected candidate will engage in various aspects of obstetric and gynecologic care, including roles as a laborist, clinic attending physician, gynecologic surgeon, floor-rounder, and consultant physician. Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills are essential for this role.

Faculty members in this position may seek an academic appointment with Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, with the rank determined by their experience.

• Provide clinical coverage and supervise residents 4-5 days a week.
• Assist with administrative tasks for the residency program as directed by the program director.

• Participate in scholarly activities as outlined by the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
