Title
Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Schedule
- Scheduling is posted every 6 weeks.
- Weekend coverage: Every other weekend; holidays as needed.

Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of RN experience in high-acuity, high-paced Labor & Delivery.
- Preferred: 5+ years of high-risk experience; will consider 3+ years with a high-risk background.
- Required: BLS and NRP certifications.
- Preferred: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate certifications.
- Competency in Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) required.
- Experience in newborn care, including immediate newborn assessment, APGARs, eye prophylaxis, Vitamin K IM (thigh), and thermoregulation.
- Ability to circulate in C-sections.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care in a high-risk Labor & Delivery setting.
- Manage patients in antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and mother/baby units.
- Conduct newborn assessments and ensure proper care procedures.
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and C-sections, including surgical support.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services.
- Monitor and manage medication therapy, including magnesium sulfate and insulin drips.

Compliance / Notes
- Orientation: 36 hours.
- Float required between postpartum and antepartum units.
- Pre-approved time off is considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Submission requirements: Current NURSYS verification, supervisory references, and proof of required certifications.
- Candidates must pass clinical review prior to placement.
