Product Management Group Director - Digital and Mixed Signal Verification Solutions (San Jose)

Position Overview

As a Sr. Principal Product Manager, you will drive product and business growth for Cadence digital and mixed‑signal verification solutions. You will own customer‑facing strategy, market development, and go‑to‑market execution, working directly with strategic accounts to uncover technical and commercial pain points, shape product direction and packaging, and build compelling value propositions that accelerate adoption from evaluation through enterprise‑scale deployment.

Responsibilities

• Own customer‑facing strategy, market development, and go‑to‑market execution for Cadence’s digital and mixed‑signal verification solutions.
• Partner directly with strategic accounts to uncover technical and commercial pain points, shape product direction and packaging, and build compelling value propositions that accelerate adoption from evaluation through enterprise‑scale deployment.
• Lead cross‑functional initiatives across Sales, Applications Engineering, and R&D to align customers and internal teams around measurable outcomes.
• Translate identified business and technical challenges into product requirements and commercial offers, and lead cross‑functional teams to execute plans that drive adoption, expansion, and revenue growth.
• Engage in executive‑level conversations (VP/C‑level) to influence roadmap decisions and support complex, multi‑million‑dollar growth initiatives.
• Collaborate across the full customer lifecycle—discovery, value justification, evaluation, procurement, and expansion—while working with engineering, finance, and procurement stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Technical understanding of digital and mixed‑signal verification flows from virtual prototyping through verification sign‑off, including hardware‑based verification and agentic verification.
• Proven ability to identify and quantify customer business and technical challenges and to translate them into product requirements and commercial offers.
• Experience leading cross‑functional teams to execute customer plans that drive adoption, expansion, and revenue growth.
• Strong executive communication skills and track record of influencing roadmap decisions across both technology strategy and business value.
• Knowledge of AI/ML verification methods and associated EDA technology, and ability to position differentiated capabilities against competitive alternatives and emerging customer requirements.
• Deep grasp of Cadence digital and mixed‑signal verification tools, flows, and solutions, with ability to build customer‑ready messaging, enable field teams, and align internal technical resources to deliver customer‑success outcomes.
• Understanding of requirements, ecosystems, and certification/assurance needs in aerospace/defense, automotive, industrial, and medical device markets; ability to translate these into segmentation strategy, partner motions, and product readiness plans.
• Results‑driven mindset with a track record of prioritizing effectively, driving alignment across competing stakeholders, and delivering measurable business outcomes (pipeline growth, bookings, adoption, retention).
• 10+ years of professional experience in the electronic design environment, spanning verification methodologies, EDA solutions, and customer deployment models.
• 7+ years in product management, technical product marketing, solutions strategy, or customer‑facing business development roles supporting complex enterprise software/EDA portfolios.
• Education: MS or BS Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering; MBA is a plus. Please note Cadence does not provide work‑authorization sponsorship for this position.

Salary & Benefits

Annual salary range for California: $154,000 to $286,000. Incentive compensation may include bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On‑Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure.
