Program Manager Location: Houston, TX Employment Type: Full-Time Compensation: $105,000-130,000 + benefits About the Opportunity A growing software technology company is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead enterprise software implementations for new customers. This is a highly visible role responsible for ensuring successful client onboarding, managing complex implementation projects, and serving as the primary liaison between customers and internal technical teams. The ideal candidate is an organized, customer-focused leader with experience implementing ERP, payroll, HRIS, SaaS, or other enterprise software solutions. You'll work closely with customers to understand their business processes, oversee software configuration and data conversion activities, and lead implementation teams through successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities Project & Program Management Lead multiple SaaS software implementation projects from contract execution through successful go-live. Develop and manage detailed implementation plans, project timelines, milestones, and deliverables. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and meet customer expectations. Identify project risks, resolve issues proactively, and communicate status updates to stakeholders. Customer Success & Implementation Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the implementation lifecycle. Facilitate discovery and blueprinting sessions to understand customer business processes and implementation requirements. Configure software solutions to meet customer needs while aligning with product capabilities and best practices. Build trusted relationships by providing exceptional customer service and strategic guidance throughout implementation. Technical Coordination Coordinate system integrations, data migration, interface development, and conversion activities with customers and internal technical teams. Collaborate with software developers, implementation consultants, and support teams to resolve technical challenges. Validate implementation readiness and support successful system deployment. Team Leadership & Process Improvement Lead and mentor implementation professionals while fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Recommend and implement enhancements to project management methodologies and implementation processes. Develop standardized documentation, best practices, and project governance procedures. Support organizational initiatives that improve implementation quality and customer satisfaction. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Business, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. 7+ years of experience managing enterprise software implementations, SaaS deployments, ERP, HRIS, Payroll, or other business application implementations. Demonstrated experience leading multiple complex projects simultaneously. Experience gathering business requirements and mapping business processes. Strong understanding of software configuration, data migration, and system integration concepts. Experience using Microsoft Project or other project management software. Outstanding organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Proven ability to manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines. Preferred Experience implementing Payroll, HR, ERP, or Human Capital Management (HCM) software. Knowledge of payroll processing, payroll tax regulations, accounting, or financial systems. Experience with Value Stream Mapping (VSM) or business process improvement methodologies. PMP certification or other project management credentials.
