Pharmacist - Travel Job

We are seeking a licensed Pharmacist for a contract position in Lander, WY at a hospital. The Pharmacist will work with the Director of Pharmacy to compound and dispense medications, provide drug information and clinical consultation, supervise technical support staff, participate in quality and education programs, and support care for adult and geriatric patient populations. The role includes verifying medication orders, ensuring safe drug therapy, maintaining pharmacy security and controlled substance safeguards, performing aseptic preparations, checking technician-prepared products, generating required reports, and documenting per protocol. Candidates should be prepared to support clinical dosing services, interpret levels, modify doses, and write progress notes when indicated.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Active Wyoming Board of Pharmacy (BOP) license required. Must be attached to submission.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required. Must be attached to submission.
• Minimum 1 year recent hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Competence with adult and geriatric patient populations.
• Ability to enter a minimum of 40 orders per four-hour shift and generate IV/production reports.
• Demonstrated aseptic technique and experience with sterile compounding and related documentation.
• Experience supervising pharmacy technicians and performing final product verification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with pharmacokinetics dosing services and therapeutic drug monitoring.
• Experience with hospital EMR systems and medication order verification workflows.
• Prior experience working in a community hospital setting.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 07:30 - 18:00.
