Sr. Software Engineer Location: O’Fallon, Missouri (St. Louis) – can consider relocation candidates - but needs to be genuine Duration: 1 year Method of interview: Video Years of experience requirement: DOR Base pay range: $70,000 – $75,000 per year Job Description Summary Participate in team prioritization discussions with Product/Business stakeholders Estimate and own delivery tasks (design, dev, test, deployment, configuration, documentation) to meet the business requirements Automate build, operate, and run aspects of software Drive code/design/process trade-off discussions within their team when required Report status and manage risks within their primary application/service Drive integration of services focusing on customer journey and experience Perform demos/acceptance discussions in interacting with Product owners Understands operational and engineering experience, actively works to improve experience and metrics in ownership area Develop complete understanding of end-to-end technical architecture and dependency systems Drive adoption of technology standards and opinionated frameworks, and review coding, test, and automation work of team members Mentor and guide new and less-experienced team members Identify opportunities to improve an overall process and trim waste Share and seek knowledge within their Guild/Program to drive reuse of patterns/libraries/practices and enhance productivity Overview The Dispute team is looking for a Software Engineer to drive our customer experience strategy forward by consistently innovating and problem-solving. Role Understanding and analyzing business requirements for new development Develop and deliver frontend/UI and backend software solutions for Dispute applications for our client Work as part of an agile development team, optimizing value delivery Work with continuously evolving application and design, develop, support cloud native application components using industry best practices All About You Deep knowledge of modern web development tools and frameworks like Angular, languages like Javascript/Typescript Proven track record with developing front end user interfaces, skilled at CSS and layout techniques Passionate about UI frontend toolchains Strong experience with building self-testing code, techniques like TDD, ATDD/BDD Fast learner and curious about using modern engineering practices Soft skills: strong verbal and written communication skills; strong team player to mentor and support other team members, proactive and collaborative working style Desirable Experience with UX design, wireframing and prototyping user interfaces Experience with other frameworks like React/Vue.js Experience on designing and developing backend services using Java, Spring Cloud, Spring Boot, Cloud Native platforms like PCF/Kubernetes/OpenShift Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Engineering and Information Technology Industries Information Services #J-18808-Ljbffr
