Use your Medicaid experience in a role that helps individuals who qualify for long-term care services successfully navigate access to critical programs and support. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers a consistent weekday schedule, comprehensive training, and the potential to convert to permanent employment with increased compensation, bonus potential, and benefits.

Candidates must be available to complete approximately 8–10 weeks of onsite training in Tampa.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake and screen individuals for potential Medicaid eligibility.
• Explain Medicaid eligibility requirements, covered services, and the application process.
• Assist applicants with gathering the information and documentation required for Medicaid applications.
• Verify current Medicaid eligibility and track applications throughout the determination process.
• Conduct comprehensive screenings for individuals pursuing Medicaid long-term care services.
• Enter and maintain accurate client assessments and eligibility information in applicable databases.
• Provide required forms and prepare documentation for Medicaid eligibility determination.
• Coordinate with state agencies and community partners regarding applications and eligibility matters.
• Follow up with applicants to update information and resolve outstanding eligibility issues.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and timely tracking records.
• Provide professional assistance to individuals, families, caregivers, and referral sources.
• Perform additional Medicaid-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following requirements:

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree and at least two years of Medicaid experience; or
• High school diploma or equivalent and at least four years of Medicaid experience.

Additional qualifications include:

• Knowledge of Medicaid eligibility, applications, enrollment, or long-term care services.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to explain detailed eligibility information clearly and professionally.
• Strong organizational, documentation, and follow-up skills.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database systems.
• English/Spanish bilingual skills are strongly preferred.
• Ability to complete the required background screening.
• Availability to complete approximately 8–10 weeks of onsite training in Tampa.
