Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist

Jackson HealthPros is hiring a Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist (formerly Medical Technologist) to perform diagnostic testing on patient samples and analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits to aid physicians in the diagnosis or monitoring of various disease states.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor's degree in related field as required by individual clients
• Valid ASCP or AMT certification required. If certificant is MLT rather than MLS/CLS, documentation of appropriate MLT credential is required.
• In licensure states, Laboratory Licensure in appropriate specialty for the department or location assignment as applicable to the state
• 1 year of clinical laboratory experience as a CLS / MLS / Med Tech or equivalent. Recent core lab experience preferred.
• Experience operating and maintaining core laboratory instrumentation, including routine preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Epic Beaker or other Laboratory Information System preferred.
• BLS certification
• Ability to draw venous or capillary blood and handle outpatient and inpatient specimens per procedure
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English to meet job requirements
• Ability to work independently in a physician office lab setting at times, as required by the client (candidate must be comfortable functioning without on-site technical supervision)

• Duration: 13 Week travel assignment
• Start/End Window: June through September (exact dates provided by client)
• Must be able to perform core lab duties, prepare reagents, run and maintain instruments, participate in proficiency testing and quality assurance activities
