Robert James Trial Attorneys is seeking a driven Client Engagement Specialist to join our growing criminal defense firm in Atlanta. If you have consultative sales experience and genuine empathy for people facing their toughest moments, this role offers the perfect blend of performance-based earnings and purpose-driven work. What You’ll Do Full-Cycle Sales: Handle inbound leads from people facing criminal charges. You’ll conduct discovery calls, present fee agreements, discuss payment options, and close sales by collecting retainers. This is consultative selling at its finest—building trust, solving problems, and helping clients through crisis situations. High-Volume Lead Flow: Manage phone, chat, and text inquiries in a fast-paced environment (~1,200 monthly leads). You’ll qualify prospects, move opportunities through the pipeline, and consistently hit monthly closing targets. Client Advocacy: Be the trusted first point of contact for clients and families navigating the legal system. Your empathy and communication skills will help them feel confident and supported from day one. What Success Looks Like Month 1: Complete onboarding, learn our systems, shadow experienced team members Month 2: Close 10 new clients while participating in coaching sessions Ongoing: Weekly and bi-weekly coaching, continuous skill development, collaborative team environment What We’re Looking For Must‑Haves: 3‑5+ years of full-cycle consultative sales or legal intake experience Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales quotas Exceptional communication and rapport-building skills Self‑motivated, competitive personality—you hate to lose Genuine empathy and ability to connect with people in crisis Comfortable with technology and CRM systems (we’ll train you on ours) Bonus Points For: Legal intake experience or background in professional services sales Experience working with people in crisis (crisis counseling, healthcare, social work) Availability for evening/weekend shifts (we offer flexible schedules including Wed‑Sun) Benefits $50,000 base salary + uncapped commission (realistic OTE: $80,000) 401(k) with employer match Wellness program Hybrid: Monthly in-person team meetings; optional office visits for client support Flexible Schedules: Non‑traditional hours (including evenings and/or weekends) Supportive Team: Join 2 other specialists with a dedicated sales manager Growth‑Oriented: Comprehensive training, weekly coaching, proven sales methodology About Robert James Trial Attorneys We’re a client-focused criminal defense and personal injury firm known for operating with integrity and excellence.
