From public and private cloud solutions to hybrid environments, we specialize in tailoring cloud strategies that align with our client's unique needs and business objectives.A day in the life: As a Cloud Integration Software Engineer, you will work with a great team to stabilize and improve Corporate Management Services (CMS) systems. To do so, you will move existing systems into CMS' DevOps software lifecycle management processes, therefore pushing builds through CMS' Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline and converting existing systems to use CMS' DevStack of technologies. Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:Engage in the design, development, and testing of software changes required for converting mission essential enterprise applications into cloud environments;Develop, test, and coordinate a deployment plan to implement changes seamlessly into the cloud environment;Leverage cloud experience to ensure a smooth integration of modified capabilities into cloud environments, optimizing performance and resource utilization.Technologies include: AWS, Java, JavaScript, Python, Docker, Terraform, Packer, Jenkins, Linux, Windows, GitLab, AnsibleWhat you bring to the table: All of our cloud engineers need the following skills:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field OR 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role.Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Oracle, or Google Cloud.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.A TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.For this particular role, you will also need:12+ years of solid software engineering experience.Experience managing and optimizing DevOps practicesIn-depth understanding of DevOps principles, tools, and methodologiesExperience with CI/CD processes for automationExperience working in C2S (AWS), and using EC2, S3, ECS, Fargate and othersExperience with Java, Bash Scripting, PythonExperience with agile development methodologiesThese are important skills to have, but not necessarily mandatory:Understanding of distributed systemsAWS Solutions Architect Associate or similar.The total package: Our total compensation package was strategically designed with our members in mind with the intention to: reward our members for their hard work and commitment to our customers' missions; allow members to share in Red Alpha's success as we continue to grow and expand our footprint; provide long-term career opportunities through stability and internal mobility; and provide the resources our members need to support themselves and their dependents in the form of a robust benefits package. Our approach in determining final salaries takes into consideration a number of factors such as education, certifications, total years of relevant professional experience, actual level of expertise, and the responsibilities of the role itself.
